Concrete workflows for your operations team

Pattern-match your next staffing brief to a simple SidePlate workflow, then send the invite while the details are fresh.

01 Restaurant crew rotation

Keep the weekly bar covered, then flex for the season

Your restaurant needs a bartender every week and extra hands when patio season or a private-dining calendar picks up. Keep the recurring brief consistent while adding seasonal coverage when service volume changes.

02 Rehearsal-venue staff fill

Close the night-of front-of-house gap

A rehearsal dinner is on the calendar, but the front-of-house roster is short for the night. Fill the gap with a bartender and service pros who can step into the venue’s plan without creating another coordination thread.

03 Emergency coverage

Turn a last-minute callout into a timed fill

A pro cancels just before service, so the host plan needs a replacement timed against its response SLA. Send the gap to the right market pros, confirm the fastest fit, and keep the event moving.

Questions venues ask before booking

The practical details on cost, flexibility, vetting, speed, and the booking handoff.

Will SidePlate cost more than keeping our own in-house list?
SidePlate uses a transparent platform-fee model with no placement commission or agency markup: the $0 Floor Plan is pay-as-you-go, while the Service Plan is $49/mo and the House Plan is $199/mo; compare the tiers. A repeat-hire dashboard keeps trusted pros on an on-call roster for future events, so you can start with SidePlate.
Are we locked into a contract if our event calendar changes?
Floor Plan has no monthly fee or contract, while Service Plan and House Plan are month-to-month and can be canceled before the next billing cycle. Read the plan terms on pricing, then create your venue account when your event calendar is ready.
How do we vet a SidePlate pro before they work at our venue?
Each pro profile shows identity and background-check status, tier badges, reviews, and credentials, giving your team a concrete vetting view on Browse Pros. Service Plan prioritizes Certified and Professional pros, while House Plan is Premium-tier pros only — background-checked, credentialed, and Certified+; compare those controls on pricing and review the background-check and liability limits in Terms.
Can SidePlate fill a same-day staffing gap?
Post a gig in under two minutes and matching market pros receive instant SMS notifications, but actual same-day coverage depends on live availability. Floor Plan has a 24-hour response window, Service Plan has a 4-hour response window with weekend coverage, and House Plan has an under-1-hour response window; post the gap or compare response tiers.
When do pros get paid, and who carries event liability?
After a booking is confirmed and the gig is completed, the pro’s funds are released to their connected bank within 2–3 business days, while the e-sign contract records the agreed rate and platform fee. SidePlate is a marketplace connecting venues and clients with independent 1099 Pros, not the employer or event insurer; all service terms, direct pro-service payments, and event liability are between the venue or client and the pro. Review Terms and create your venue account to see the agreement flow.
